The roof's on and the painter's been in to do the undercoating, so we've just got to wait for the electrician and the plumber.

Following on from the wooden version, here's the first painted face.

To make many tiny faces, make a silicone mold (which can be spelt "mould" or "mold", depending on location, although I've probably picked the wrong one).
Then, fill the mold with resin:

I don't need a reason to make tiny masks as the following pictures will attest.
Designed using subdivision modelling in Cinema 4D, then imported into Fusion 360 to create toolpaths for the CNC. Then machined in Utilie (that's wood) and cast in silicone to make resin copies. Then painted in a variety of different ways.

00729, the Wall at Work
This is the Wall at Work project.
The walls at work are quite dull and the walls in the room I work in are no exception.
I think we're not supposed to have stuff on the walls in case we all die or lose a limb as a result (as can often happen when mounting chainsaws and machetes on walls) - but I have anyway.
It looks like this at present, but will grow:

Wow, those pictures are not straight. But in reality they are - I use a digital inclinometer, natch.

This is what happened to the lenses:
They're in a plastic enclosure that is formed to clip on to my phone, so the lens sits right over the lens. Works a treat:

00726, Brick walls
I'm testing out how the CNC machine will cut brick walls out of foamcore as per David Neat's website.
David's blog was so informative and interesting (for me, at least), that I bought his book form Amazon. It's one of the few reference books that I've bought recently that I actually bother to read.
So here, I've used Illustrator to create the brick patterns and then exported as SVG to allow the CNC machine to cut it. Then it's on to painting.
Totally worked.
